Our Story
OUR HISTORY
Founded in New Zealand 2001, the company initially specialized in the establishment of farm investment syndicates.
Syndication enabled the pooling of capital to fund the establishment of larger scale farms, equipped with the most current technology. Southern Dairy was regarded as one of the pioneers in bringing together unrelated parties to invest in a cooperative manner.
Others followed suit, and today the equity partnership model has been widely adopted by other Agri sectors in New Zealand including, viticulture, kiwifruit, sheep, and beef farming.
In 2006 we moved our attention to international agri-investment and asset management opportunities, initially in the US and later Australia.
It was during this phase, that we began to realize the significant environmental and nutritional, and social benefits of the New Zealand style of agriculture. As a result, we have gradually expanded our international activities and now have offices in New Zealand and Texas.
